Matty’s Vision is excited to announce the contribution of an Alesis electronic drum kit and monitor to the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind in Tucson.
Music Director Kate Scally confirmed receipt of the check to fund the instrument and the unit should show up any day. It is very versatile in that it can be run through a PA for “live” performances or patched into a console for recording projects.
Thank you to all Matty’s Vision supporter’s for your continued support of these special students and a special thank you to co-founder Tammy Rugg-Klinefelter and her legendary musical father Hal Rugg for posthumously funding this first gift to ASDB.
We encourage anyone who would like to support our mission of providing musical instruments and opportunities to these special students to make a donation to Matty’s Vision via the website. Any contributions provided through the Matty’s Vision website can be presented to the school with the contributor’s name mentioned.
This instrument will greatly enhance the music program and bring much opportunity for expression, enjoyment and depth to the student’s musical education experience.
We have a special fondness for Kate, the music director as she is also the private piano teacher for our grandchildren Stay tuned for more on Kate in the near future and some insight into her special teaching talents!
